Maile Hale
Maile Hale Fund
Named in remembrance of Maile Hale, The Foundation of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Endowment Fund ensures a future of service for our club. Daughter of Past Club President Rob Hale, Maile perished in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Through the generous donations of members and friends of The Rotary Club of Honolulu, the corpus has exceeded $630,000 and continues to grow daily. The Foundation is directed by the Board of Trustees whose members are elected by Club Members. The Foundation of the Rotary Club of Honolulu is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit entity supported entirely by voluntary contributions.
The Maile Hale Fund is a permanently restricted fund. Donations are made with the specific intention that they increase the endowment and the funds be invested long term. This fund will continue to grow the Club’s ability to perform “Service Above Self.” All donations to The Maile Hale Fund are placed in the corpus and only a portion of the income will be expended.
