All Rotary Members are invited to participate in the Action Plan Workshop this Saturday, April 12th, from 9am-Noon, when we have a chance to work together to brainstorm and bring ideas to plan our activities for 2025-2026 and beyond. Let's collaborate and share best practices to come up with impactful and meaningful events and projects and put these ideas into an Action Plan for your clubs!
We'll start with a refresher on the Action Plan and then break out into groups to focus on Membership, Youth Service or Club Service (Club Experience). If you are on Maui, you will be doing this in-person.
As always, please feel free to reach out to any one of the District Leadership Team to assist you.
Presidents-Elect, please encourage the incoming board and committee members to attend with you to gather as many ideas to help put the club's action plan together.

MALAMA MAUI WEEKEND

Continuing our tradition of a spring work project weekend that has drawn more than 100 participants by involving Rotarians plus inviting the broader community to join us.
Our fall international service project will be from September 21-26 (arrive no later than Sept 20 in Hue). Please refer to the map. The project is located outside of Dong Ha. We will be building playgrounds and other improvements at rural elementary schools. The work will include installing equipment sets, planting trees and plants, and making a fences and benches.
The post project will run from Sept 27-October 4 (departing October 5 from Saigon). We will start in Dong Hai and visit Hue and Hoi An.
Those wanting to attend the Kyoto Rotary Club’s anniversary celebration in Kyoto from October 7-9 will be "almost there" at the end of the post project tour.
Participation is limited to 20 due to transportation restrictions. More information, including participants’ costs, will be forthcoming.

Good morning,
Our District Conference is fast approaching. If you have not yet registered - now is the time to do so. And yes, that includes registering for our 'End Polio Now Walk to create awareness'.
We have 54 clubs in our District including Rotaract Clubs. Each club is challenged to contribute at least $1,500 toward ‘Ending Polio’. Let’s meet this challenge. We can do this.
Despite what's going on in the world today - Rotary is neither stopping nor slowing down in fulfilling the promise made to the world’s children of a polio free world.
Let's walk to show our support. Let's walk to show our commitment. Let’s walk to solidify our resolve to stay the course and keep that promise.
Up next: Phase 2 increment 3 will replace the deteriorating chain link fence with sturdy metal fencing on top of the exterior rock wall and lockable entrance gates on three sides to define the site and improve security.
Fundraising continues and we salute the Osaka Higashi Rotary Club of Japan for its recent generous donation to the park effort.

The upcoming District conference is coming up and we will once again have an amazing House of Friendship. We want and need you to share some of your projects and initiatives in a booth so we can learn from each other. You have worked hard this last year and having a booth is a wonderful way of exhibiting your Club's successes. Please discuss how you can share at your next meeting and complete the attached form.

As a humanitarian organization, Rotary makes peace a cornerstone of our mission. And so, Promoting Peace is one of our seven Areas of Focus. The Rotary Peace Fellowship and its Peace Centers train leaders to prevent and mediate conflict through fully-funded fellowships for a Master’s Degree or Professional (post-graduate) Certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Applications for the new academic year, Fall of 2026, are now available.
