SERVICE PROJECT - RYSE KAILUA
Join your fellow Rotarians at our RYSE service project in Kailua this Saturday, February 24.

If you are able to volunteer, please email Reese Liggett.  Let him know you can make it and if you want to join us for lunch.

Bring your family, friends and prospective members.  Service and fellowship is what Rotary is all about and this project has both!  This is a great opportunity to fellowship with your friends at Rotary (both new and old!), see a fantastic charitable organization up close, and make a difference in the lives of young people.  Saturday will likely be the culmination of the project.  The hardwork of volunteers and limiting actions of the state leave us with painting and cleaning.

Work will start at 8am, stop for lunch around noon, and run through the early afternoon.  Come and stay as long as you can and leave when you need to.  No need to stay for the whole day.  Lunch will be provided if you tell Reese you will be there.

IMPORTANT UPDATES TO LUNCH REGISTRATION
We are working to make registering and attending lunch meetings easier on our members.  To that end we are introducing some new changes to registration:
  • Register and pay online - starting with our February 27 lunch meeting, anyone registering for an event will be asked to pay with a credit card at the time of registration.  This will make it easier to register by reducing the number of times you have to click.  It will also reduce you wasting time standing in line waiting to pay.  If you register online, just pick up your name tag, grab lunch and fellowship with other Rotarians and guests!  Registration closes 24 hours before the event.
  • Walk-ins welcome for a fee - we welcome walk-ins and know some of you don't know if you can make it until the last minute.  Please join us!  But, that flexibility, convenience and privilege are not free.  We will be charging $50 at the door for members and guests who do not pre-register.  This will take effect starting at the March 5 lunch meeting.
  • Sign up for prepaid lunches - we know some of our members are tired of having to register and pay for individual lunches.  We hear you!  So we are offering a prepaid lunch option on a trial basis.  You can sign up for $130 a month or $500 for the rest of the Rotary year.  This option gives you even more freedom to attend the lunch meetings without having to hassle with online registration!  Click here to let Lee know you are interested and for full details.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we try new things to make the Club better for everyone!
FEB 29: New Member Orientation 2.0
Michael Marsh invites you to join the conversation!
Our Club is more than just weekly luncheon meetings.  We offer many ways for you to engage in service.  What do YOU want to get out of your Rotary Membership? Are you a new member or someone interested in learning about opportunities to engage with Rotary?

Please join us for a New Member Orientation 2.0 session via Zoom to ask all the questions you have about Rotary and learn more about our teams and service projects. We will offer a comprehensive review of all the various committees that you can join through our Club, including membership, vocational, community service, program, etc.  There are so many ways to become involved.

Join us on this one hour zoom session to figure out the best fit for your interests.  We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have an to connect you with the Cub leadership in your area of interest.
Getting to Know Alice Tucker
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT BY LINDA COBLE

It’s been a joy being in the same room every Tuesday with Alice Tucker, since she was sponsored into Rotary by member Ken Froelich in 1989.  She brought years of volunteer leadership to our Ohana and continues to serve with pride at the age of 91.
