Get ready for a busy December with our first meeting in a while on the 3rd at our new home The Pacific Club - Card Room.  Please keep in mind that there will still be some meetings in 2025 at The Outrigger Canoe Club as we transition into our new location.

 

Please sign-up as soon as possible for our annual Holiday Event also at The Pacific Club on MONDAY, December 23rd.  We will be getting the cost out to you very soon.

 

We will also present a slide show of before and after photos of our RYSE Project and you will be amazed at what your Club has done.

BIG SUCCESSFUL finish Saturday 11/23/24, our 14^th scheduled project workday at RYSE Shelter.

HOME DEPOT 1701 Alakawa and the Home Depot Foundation (Atlanta) provided the materials ($5000+), and teamed with us, RCH budget rented the scaffolding.  Many played key roles—too many to mention without missing some key doer.  Mitch Weld hauled away the big piles of scrap wood and Tom Coyne returned the scaffolding to HD Rentals.  Sage Price crowned it with incredible power-washing.

Huge thanks to busy author ( https://providentialronaldreagan.com/ ) and teacher and doer of his incredible, project know-how, Kirk Hovious.  He gave us confidence to go to the Club Board with this project, and then personally pursued it to a successful finish.

BIGGEST COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT in my time (since 4/96) or maybe tied with the 1996 home adjustment (for wheelchair-bound child in Kailua), or NIKE Site upgrade for Winners Camp in Hawaii Kai about ’98.

1150 hours by 50+ volunteers, both Rotarians (25) and friends (25) of Rotarians!
