A MESSAGE FROM
PRESIDENT BRIAN DUNKEL
Aloha kakou,
We had no regular Club meeting this week, due to the July 4th holiday, but that doesn’t mean I was able to take the week off. I have only been President of our storied Club for a few days, but I am already busy at work preparing to lead the charge into a great new Rotary year in which we will Unite for Good with Rotarians at home and around the world.
I was very excited to attend the final meeting of President Tom’s Rotary year remotely from the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Alberta in Canada. I was also pleased to witness so many new members joining our Club, including what I believe was correctly identified as our first remotely inducted member. Growing our Club and maximizing its value for all of our members is an important part of the goals for my term as your President. I am humbled that you all have entrusted me with this great honor, and I look forward to working with each of you.
Next week we will not have a regular Club meeting at the Pacific Club, our wonderful new home, but rather we will have a special, informal opportunity to “Talk Story” together at the site of one of our signature Community Service projects – Palama Settlement. Please take a moment to register for this casual event and come prepared to share with me your thoughts on how we can work together to make membership in the Rotary Club of Honolulu an amazing experience for everyone in the coming year.
