Our back is to the wall: Only 4 more project days-Saturday this week, Monday, Thursday, & Saturday next week—8 AM to 4 PM or any part of it each day.
Plan is to finish November 16, but we are way behind that schedule.
I ran this project by a lot of you, and one-and-all thought it very worthwhile and doable. And we have Home Depot Foundation paying a lot of the expense of materials (about $3,500).
It will be a bit embarrassing for our RCH if we can’t finish it in decent fashion or have to curtail it. But we are facing that situation as we are only about 25% done and there is a whole lot of panel installation (measuring, sawing, gluing, screw-driving, caulking, spackling), pre-paint-prep, and painting to go.
We would really appreciate your application of your considerable skills and grit to help us get it done—or willingness to learn handy skill.
We believe RYSE is very worthwhile endeavor—their mission is to get every 18–24-year-old off the street and into their programs for a good start in life. Many come from the foster-family situation where state subsidy is over at age 18 and they are on their own.
