This meeting will launch the new "Pop-Up" idea for a Club meeting held at a venue other than the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, with the theme of Connections. The guest speaker is Burt Lum, Chief Strategy Officer for Hawaii's Broadband Initiative, Executive Director of Hawaii Open Data, and Host of Bytemarks Cafe on Hawaii Public Radio. This meeting is in the card room at The Pacific Club. The cost of lunch is $35. RSVP by August 20. |

Our guest speaker is Club member Amanda Ellis, Executive Director, Hawaii and Asia-Pacific and Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University. Amanda will discuss her role with the Institute for Climate and Peace, her time as New Zealand Ambassador on the UN Security Council, and the latest US bipartisan legislation. This meeting is in the Monarch Room. |

Past President Dave Shanahan and his wife Sue just completed the world-famous trek of Satiago de Campostela, a World Heritage pilgrimage route that is over 1,000 years old. Dav'es program will cover the history, meaning, and significance of this trek, along with fascinating events that occured during the Shanahan's journey. This meeting is in the Monarch Room. |

Please join us for our major service project at Kahi Mohala at 91-2301 Old Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach in Ewa Beach on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Our club will beautify Kahi Mohala’s facilities. Kahi Mohala serves children as young as four through high school who are suffering with depression, anxiety, thoughts of self-harm or actual attempts to commit suicide from across Hawai`i to find healing and hope. Kahi needs our support to help these children because mental illness doesn’t discriminate. Sign-ups and information on the different service projects and different levels of activity will be presented at our upcoming meeting. |

Tour the "Willy Wonka" of Kailua, at Manoa Chocolate Hawaii, 333 Uluniu Street in Kailua. Tuesday, February 25, 12 to 1 pm. Enjoy a hosted lunch at Kukui Center, 245 Kukui Street in Honolulu. Tuesday, February 25, 12 to 1 pm. Meet in front of the Hawaii Theatre on Wednesday, February 26 at 5:30 sharp, for an hour-long walking tour. Cost of this humorous tour is $20, and be advised that the content is rated PG-13. Organized by Sam Haas, the tour is followed by a no-host dinner at Bethel Union.
