 ve. He is a graduate of Stanford University\, did graduate work at the Uni
 versity of Wisconsin\, and received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Univer
 sity of Hawaii. He lectured extensively over several decades in economic t
 heory and applied courses at Wisconsin and Hawaii campuses. He is a member
  of the American Economic Association\, the American Finance Association\,
  and the National Association for Business Economics\, from which he holds
