                    Weinberg Friends Project

Annually the Rotary Club of Honolulu completes a major project with a non-profit organization that serves the "at risk", indigent or homeless population. The project this year is scheduled for Saturday, September 23.

If 25 members of the Club are in attendance at the project, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation offers the Rotary Club of Honolulu the opportunity to select a non- profit of the Club's choice that serves the homeless, "at risk" or indigent population to be the beneficiary of a $10,000 grant from the Weinberg Foundation.

The Board of Directors selects the non-profit to receive the grant after reviewing requests for proposals that have been submitted to the Club. The work site is also selected by the Board.

The project is the responsibility of the President Elect of the Club.  For 2017, President Elect Bub Wo may be contacted at: bwo@cswo.com for any questions regarding this year's project at the YWCA Fernhurst Residence in Makiki.
